Do you struggle to get out of your bed in the morning because it’s so warm and cozy? Or maybe because you feel tired? Or do you need coffee immediately in order to get moving?
I understand not everyone is a morning person, with just a few tricks you can improve your morning routines and be productive the whole day.
1. DITCH YOUR SMARTPHONE
Many people look at their smartphones within the first 5 minutes after waking up. Break that routine. Looking at the screen of your phone right away increases your stress level.
2. DO SOME SIMPLE STRETCH
A few gentle stretches before and after getting out of bed will activate your body and get your blood flowing for the day.
3. LET THE SUNLIGHT IN
Open the curtains and windows to get some light: light sends a signal to your brain that it’s time to be awake and stop producing melatonin, a sleep-regulating hormone. Get a deep breath and feel the morning fresh air.
4. TAKE A MINUTE
Give yourself a quiet minute in the morning. Drinking water in the morning keeps your body hydrated as the day starts, helps promote a sustained flow of blood to your skin and releases toxins from your system. Enjoy those minutes to drink your tea or coffee, think about what you need to do that day, or even write down your plan or things to do for today. Read some positive quotes. Nothing will make your day better than starting it with a positive mindset!
5. HAVE A GOOD BREAKFAST
Never have time for a tasty breakfast? According to Addidas runtastic, 31% of males and females between the age of 35 and 54 are breakfast skippers. How about getting up just 15 or 20 minutes earlier? A nutritious breakfast gives you energy and maintains more stable glucose responses during the afternoon and evening. Simple and easy breakfast like Banana Toast with peanut butter, avocado toast with egg, Oatmeal or Chia seeds with some berries. I use to have 1 boil egg and half of the banana when I don’t have much time and sometimes just get half a slice of apple with yogurt. Having Coffee every morning it’s like gasoline in my body to keep me moving and it gives me a lot of energy. My day is not complete without a coffee.
6. LISTEN A MUSIC
Music has always garnished healing strengths and can bring you in a good mood. A happy-good playlist would have you ready to kick your workday’s butt.
Now you are ready for the whole day, you have the energy to focus on your passion will not only make you feel better or make you happy, but your hard work will pay you off on the end.
Thank you!
